affiliated with the Grace Baptist Mission.

We could be considered casual, but this
really just means people wear what they are
comfortable in at church (and in public!). So
ties or T-shirts are welcome.

biblical, yet relevant to 21st century life.

Since 1854 there has been a Baptist Church in
East Street, Southend-on-Sea, Essex SS2 6LH. The first
chapel was very quickly outgrown and in 1893 the present
building was created. Since then while much of the
surrounding area has changed, the message of the Bible, of
God’s love and the forgiveness available through faith in
His son the Lord Jesus Christ remain the same. Our church is
a place where Christians meet together to worship God, learn
more about Him and encourage and care for each other.
