The Future

  My Paradox

Why www.paradox-uk.co.uk ?

For several years I have been taken with the features of Matt Layden's tiny sailing cruiser, and there is now a growing interest in the little boat here in the UK. Alastair Law has built one, and Derek Clark has recently finished his ( Summer 2006) and I've started to build mine. It's increasingly likely that more Paradoxes will be built on this side of the Pond. Until now most of them have been in the US, but one has been finished in Australia and there are two in the pipeline.

Focal Point

Although there are several mentions of Paradox on the web (see the Information page), apart form Alastair's site, there is no rallying point here - hence http://www.paradox-uk.co.uk. The intention is not to take focus away from those who are promoting this fine coastal cruiser in the US, but rather to complement and encourage them in their endeavours, yet at the same time enable builders and sailors around our coasts to help each other. Alastair has been a leading light here. In addition to making his very useful web site Little Jim, he has been generous in offering people opportunities to see his boat.

Perhaps, as more Paradoxes are seen afloat around the British Isles, owners may be able to meet together for rallies?

UK Builders/Owners' Group

To this end I am hoping a UK Builders and Owners Group will eventually be established.
