Understanding the
Plans
Matt Layden's plans consist
of 12 sheets of beautifully drawn details showing
how Paradox should be built.
Page 1) outlines the sail
plan; 2) sets out the lines; 3) the interior and
deck layouts; 4) general construction; 5) section
at frame 3; 6) side panel measurements and cut-out
positions on plywood for frames, bottom, decks and
transom. It also explains the building sequence; 7
& 8) more bulkhead details, including the
transom plus stem dimensions; 9) vent trunk and
reefing arrangements; 10) cabin construction; 11)
rudder and chine runners layout; 12) spars and
yuloh particulars.

presentations very helpful in understanding how the
