Micro-Sailboat

Galley Box

One or two small boat Internet discussion groups asked for details of a suitable Galley Box which could be used to store a cooker, pots and pans, utensils etc..

My box has been fully tested and has turned out to be very practical. When used ashore, the lid acts as a windbreak for the Camping Gaz burner. While being used afloat, the cooker is protected from most draughts by the high cockpit coaming.

I have kept all components very simple, and the pictures speak for themselves.

The box doubles up as thwart for rowing. It is the optimum height to match the rowlock position for a person of my build.
