Micro-Sailboat
In-filling the tapes.
This was done using a good quality car body filler, which was applied with a paint scraper. Then it was sanded, to be ready for the first coat of primer.

The bilge keels in place.
These were cut from recycled mahogany. They were first attached with epoxy, then strengthened with generous taping.

Preliminary decking.
The deck ply is well supported with cross-beams, but at this stage it was not epoxied to them, because the interior painting had to come first.

Cockpit and Floorboards
I epoxied the floorboard to the hull on cross-beam supports. Thus it effectively made another integral buoyancy chamber. You can see that the front portion of the cockpit was decked in, which allows room for relatively dry stowage. That's because a washboard can be bolted between it and the rest of the cockpit.

These pictures were uploaded on 2nd August, 2000. After a very wet winter, building recommenced in mid March, 2001.
