Micro-Sailboat
Deck supports.
I made a substantial number of supports because I am used relatively thin (3.5 mm) marine ply for the decks.

General deck layout.
Here you can see both fore and stern hatch openings, side decks, coamings, washboards, Samson post and quarter posts.

Coamings and washboards.
These were constructed of Brazilian mahogany which was salvaged from the fireplace in my lounge. This is an example of recycling!
Stern post.
A pattern for the stern post was made from cardboard; then it was shaped with a jigsaw, plane and chisel. After applying thickened epoxy to the post and the stern panels joints, the post was held in place by clamps which were attached to the deck framework. (Note the lovely sheer and beautiful hull form.)

Bow post.
String has many uses when building a boat. I used it to hold the bow post in place while the thickened resin hardened.

Irresistible.
Building this boat was a love affair. How wonderful it must have been for the Creator to make His fantastic universe! In a very small way, those who build boats get a buzz by using those base materials the Master created for that purpose and pleasure.
