Components

An advantage of building a boat from a kit is that one does not need to assemble the various bits and pieces for her construction. That saves time and money, but if one wants something a little different and individual, the effort of gathering together all things necessary to build her brings a reward when she is finished.

List

I have made this list for those who would like to build the 50/50 canoe. It will be amended to be more accurate as the building process advances. If you intend to build your 50/50 right away, I suggest you check the list thoroughly and make your own assessment. I take no responsibility for the accuracy of the list, since it is presented as a general guide only.

I thought it best to order more, rather than less, so that I would not need to stop for lack of materials during the canoe's construction. Actual prices, including VAT, are shown and they represent top quality items. No doubt those bent on building a cheaper canoe will be able to do so by reducing the quality of materials, but that may be shortsighted if they intend to keep the canoe for a period of years.
