This page is the sequel to 'Acadia' - Second Tender to 'Bumper' , where I gave my reasons for adding a sail to the canoe.
These pictures are self-explanatory.
There was a break in the weather today, and for a brief moment I was able to do a test sail, which proved Acadia can go to windward, but how well, remains to be discovered. I'll need to make comparisons in real situations with similar craft. Meanwhile, here is the latest picture of the canoe with her leeboard, rudder and sail.
