www.smallsailboats.co.uk Bill's Boats Home www.smallsailboats.co.uk Scout Kayak Phillida Hilyard Shyauk Hina Catamaran Small Zeta Pandora Buccaneer Big Zeta Kingfisher Aziz Shipmate Harriott Micro Caleb Racing Kayak I built a Blandford PBK 15 soft-skinned kayak while doing National Service in the Royal Artillery, but unfortunately I do not have any photographs of her.  On the other hand I have a photo of a Struer Racing Kayak I bought about a year after taking up an appointment as Head of Art at the Episcopal Secondary Modern School for Boys, Exeter. There I joined the Exeter Canoe Club in 1958 and was a member for several years.  I used the Struer kayak when participating in the Hasler Trophy series of long-distance races at such locations as Poole Harbour, Dawlish Warren and Weston-super-Mare.  Club members even travelled to London for a gruelling race from Greenwich to Richmond.  We were well looked after by officers of the Greenwich Naval College who made us honoured guests at a lavish meal.
