www.smallsailboats.co.uk Bill's Boats Home www.smallsailboats.co.uk Scout Kayak Racing Kayak Phillida Hilyard Shyauk Hina Catamaran Small Zeta Pandora Buccaneer Big Zeta Kingfisher Aziz Shipmate Harriott Caleb Micro                               Micro was based on the kit hull of a Swallow Boats Storm Petrel.  The modification allowed me to have a full length berth under a boom tent.  She was a decked sailing canoe on the lines of a traditional Shetland boat used by crofters and fishermen.  Her wide beam meant rowing was a better option than paddling.  In stronger winds it was necessary to sit her out in the same way as a dinghy and because she was too heavy to lift by one person a trailer was needed to take her to different locations.
